Danaé is a painting painted in 1907 by Gustav Klimt. After his work "the kiss" which made him know the climax, he painted the amorous ecstasy in this canvas.

Gustav Klimt is a symbolist painter of the 19th century, he is a member of the Vienna Art Nouveau movement.
